about

This is the first album I ever made.
Back in the Summer of 2005 while in my first band that I fronted called "The Bookburners" (my mom HATED that name) me and my bassist and good friend Victor Lewis would hang out after rehearsals and fuck around with his Tascam digital 8 track in the basement of his dingy house on Flemming Street in St. John's. The experimental, delay drenched, ambient and discordant nonsense we came up with that Summer had absolutely nothing to do with the fairly conventional singer/songwriter stuff I was playing with the band at the time, but it deeply satisfied my desire to dive into the psychedelic and unsettling and help create a bond with Victor who continues to be my main collaborator and inspiration.

Fun Trivia!
All the song titles were created by darts thrown at a bible, strangely enough a lot of the titles fit the songs really well. Also the sermon that I give in the title track of the album was written using this very same method of disrespect and defacement. If you don't pay too close attention to the words you'd swear I was just giving a regular chant or prayer.

about

A difficult bag of chips to open. A man with silver ear drums who sees into scents of the spheres. A soft hearted vial of anthrax. A tube of blister cream and a hot needle. A guy with 13 albums and a movie.
